Restylane
Restylane is a dermal filler for patient’s who wish to improve the look of fine lines and wrinkles around the nose, cheeks and mouth. It fills in lost volume as we age. Patients typically only need one treatment for noticeable differences, temporarily making them plumped and eliminating wrinkles for up to 6-8 months! Restylane is composed of hyaluronic acid, which is a critical building block for healthy skin. Hyaluronic acid simulates natural collagen production, showing increased volume, that lasts several months.
Restylane Silk
Restylane Silk is mostly used to treat wrinkles, fine lines, enhance lips, but was specifically designed to create more prominent, fuller lips. The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for filler treatment is a man or woman who is not happy with his/her appearance and wants to restore volume to their facial features. He or she should be in overall good health, understand the benefits and side effects and have reachable goals with the product. The Consultation
Patients should have a private consultation with a certified and experienced professional, prior to receiving a filler treatment. Our Expert injectors assess skin condition, review past surgeries, treatments, current medications and goals. During the consultation, the treatment process, benefits, possible side effects and results will be discussed in detail, and a personalized treatment plan will be put in place.
The Procedure
Filler treatments take between 20-40 minutes, depending on target areas. Our physician will use a small needle to administer to the desired areas. Fillers are comprised of Lidocaine (anesthetic), so injections hurt less. However, if requested, an additional anesthetic may be used. Patients can return to work immediately after treatment. Patients should refrain from rubbing the target areas for 3-4 days post-treatment.
The Results
Directly after the procedure, patients may encounter minor swelling, inflammation also redness. Nevertheless, these should subside after a few days. Within the next 2 weeks, patients will begin to notice increased collagen which will continue for several months. Fillers last 6 to 12 months, depending on several variables. After results begin to fade, repeat treatment is necessary to ensure a youthful appearance. Some fall in love with this look and prefer Lip Implants for the longest lasting results.
