Q: Do I need more than one treatment?
A: Most people require more than one treatment. Toenails grow a lot slower than our fingernails. However long it takes your toenails to grow out completely is how long it can take to get rid of the fungus. Some peoples big toenail can take up to a year to grow out completely. It will not fix the infected toenail and make it normal. The new growth of the nail will grow out clean and healthy. Treatments are done every 8 weeks until its gone. Typically a series of 3 is enough for most people. Some people may need a couple followed up appointments (at a discounted rate).

Q: Is the nail fungus procedure painful?
A: No general or local anesthesia is necessary. The procedure isn’t painful and most patients report feeling just a slight warming sensation.

Q: How long does the procedure take?
A: This procedure usually takes 15-20 minutes to complete each session.

Q: Will the fungus grow back?
A: During the procedure, the fungus appears to be killed by the laser light without harming the rest of your toenail. Some people may possess a predisposition to the condition or they may have an aggressive situation that may need periodic treatment to kill any new fungal infection that may arise.

Q: Can you treat the fingernails?
A: Yes, fingernails are just as prone to getting fungus as the toenail, but spreading between nails is rare as they do not share the same sock or shoes and are cleaned frequently.

Q: Is it important to treat all of the nails even if they are not infected?
A: Yes, very important in longterm success because the nail may be infected but not visible to the naked eye.

Q: What does “FDA cleared” mean?
A: Our laser has been cleared for dermatological use by the FDA. This is considered a dermatological procedure.
