How Skin Tightening Works
Sublime
uses a combination of IPL and bipolar RF, unlike infrared light to penetrate the skin’s deeper layers. When the skin heats, it produces fibroblasts which then signals the body to create new collagen, which smooths cellulite and tightens the skin. This process will begin to show within a few weeks and may continue to improve for 4-6 months.
Elos Technology
combines bi-polar radiofrequency and energy from light to heat the skin, stimulating new collagen growth, which causes fine lines and wrinkles to reduce, making the skin appear tighter and smoother. This process uses infrared (700 – 2000 nm) and bipolar radiofrequency heating the skin approximately 4 mm deep.
By gradually heating layers of skin with a few passes, the radiofrequency and energy from the Elos will tighten and smooth out the skin with each treatment, done 4 weeks apart. Most results are seen in a small series of between 3-6 treatments. These can be alternated with some of our other skin treatment technologies.
The Sublime treatment is used for fine lines, wrinkles, and minor skin tightening. It is great for people who would like a non-ablative procedure with no downtime. Deeper wrinkles would be better treated with the sublative Ematrix handpiece.

Patients should not be pregnant or nursing or have used Accutane within the past 6 months.
