Indications and Usage:
Latisse is indicated to treat hypotrichosis of the eyelashes by increasing their growth including length, thickness, and darkness.
Directions:
DO NOT APPLY in the lower lid or your eye. Only use the sterile applicators supplied to apply the product. If you miss a dose, do not try to “catch up.” Just apply the solution the next evening.
Ensure contact lenses are removed and face is clean of makeup. Every night, place 1 drop of Latisse on a sterile applicator, that came in the box. Apply evenly at the base of the eyelashes and along the skin of the upper eyelid margin.
The upper lid margin in the area of lash growth should feel slightly moist. Blot any excess runoff solution outside the upper eyelid margin with a cloth or tissue. Repeat for the opposite eyelid margin using an applicator.
How to apply Latisse
Tell the technician or physician before using Latisse if you are receiving an eye-pressure screening and especially if you have had issues with your eyes in the past.

Q: What does hypotrichosis mean?
A: Some areas of the body has problems producing hair adequately. This particularly is a condition when you don’t produce thick or adequate eyelashes.
Q: What does Latisse do?
A: Bimatoprost or Latisse, a prescription to treat hypotrichosis, is FDA approved as a cosmetic treatment to extend eyelashes and make them thicker, darker and longer.
Q: What happens if I stop using my Latisse?
A: Eyelashes go back to original appearance over the course of a few months. If darkening around eyelid appears, it will disappear within a few weeks. If your actual eye color darkened, it may not return to the original color.
Q: Who should not use Latisse?
A: Do not use this product if you are allergic to any Latisse ingredients.
Q: Are there any possible side effects or warnings I should know before beginning Latisse treatment?
A: Side effects chances increase if the product is not used properly. Use only on the upper eyelid, at the base – don’t apply on the lower eyelid. The most common side effect is redness or itching in the eyes (in 4% of patients).
If you use Lumigan or have had issues with similar IOP products, ask your doctor before using Latisse. Though reversible, Latisse can cause dark circles around eyelids. Hair may grow around areas that Latisse touches but usually avoided by wiping a tissue around eyelash areas.
Rare, but it can create an increase dark tan to brown pigmentation of eye color, which may be permanent. If any of these start to occur, stop using Latisse.
If the development of infection, have a decrease in visual perception, seek medical attention immediately. Consult your physician if any problems arise.
Q: Should I do anything if I get Latisse in my eye?
A: That is not recommended, but since Latisse is an ophthalmic product, it will not cause any actual harm to an eye. You should not rinse eyes, but consult your physician if any concern does arise.
