Cosmetic Treatment Questions and Answers
Now that you’re introduced to the professional staff that will be providing answers to your questions let’s start this new series off with a bang. Our staff has picked some of the most popular topics and questions from patients just like you and when your questions are submitted we’ll pair them with a suitable professional staff member.
This question comes from almost all patients and that’s why we want to address it on this blog first. Patients usually ask the all-important question “How much does laser hair removal cost?”.
This answer is provided by our Manager and Certified Laser Technician…
Although pricing is different all across the country, here in Pittsburgh Pa unlike other competitors we publish all of our prices online. Rates are subjected to shift in the future depending on when you’re reading this blog so if you’re in the area we recommend visiting our Pricing page for the latest hair removal cost. With that said depending on the dimension of the treated area and the number of treatments needed the nationwide pricing (as of 2017) can range from a small area cost of $350 to $500. Luckily, at our clinic, we can keep pricing much lower. Currently, in 2019 our Pittsburgh Pa customers can receive pricing as low as $75 to $150 for a small area.
Our second question was provided by Steve a patient that never had any cosmetic laser work and recently bought a hair removal package. Firstly, Steve expressed that he was reluctant to call because other then being slightly embarrassing he didn’t know if lasers treated the specific area he was inquiring about. So, Steve’s asked which areas can the laser hair removal process treat.

Any area (except over your eyes) including the upper underarms, bikini line, behind, genital areas including scrotum, chest, legs, back, lip, face, neck, etc.. These can all be safely treated with our hair removal process.
Our third question was provided by a patient that wanted to know what type of hair removal laser is the best in the industry.
This answer is provided by a Certified Laser Technician…
Many laser systems have the ability to perform laser hair removal. However, here in our Pittsburgh Pa offices, we love the results of the Lumenis LightSheer and Vectus Diode with their ChillTip ideally suited for laser hair removal.
Our fourth question was provided by a patient that wanted to know if they should avoid having a tan during laser treatments.
This answer is provided by a Certified Laser Technician…
YES, and you should also withdraw from any sun exposure for six weeks before and a week after treatment. Additionally, this involves avoiding self-tanners, bronzers, etc. Sun exposure makes laser hair removal less effective and you are likely to have more complications after treatment.
